We are just 79 days away from summer! I’m dreaming of hot summer days already. Can’t wait to spend days at the beach and build sandcastles with my daughter.
But aside from happy thoughts, I’m also thinking about a bikini and how to look my best at the beach. I think I’m not the only one who is searching for help to look good in a bathing suit.
I have never been a fan of crash diets and all those beauty treatments that promise to lose weight instantly. I think that the healthy eating and some exercise give moms the body we have been searching for.
The key to getting a perfect bikini body is not starving, but eating the proper foods. Did you know that there exist foods that help you lose weight? If not, check out the list below and start enjoying the good food and losing weight will be easier.
Celery
Celery is a perfect vegetable for people who are trying to lose weight. It consists of 95% of water, contains 2 grams of fiber and 16 calories per cup. Thanks to the high content of fiber and water, celery leaves your stomach feeling full. It’s really important to stay hydrated and most of us know, that consuming water helps us to get water out of our bodies.
Celery is also called a negative calorie food – it takes more calories to digest celery than it adds in calories.
Oats
Oats help to reduce cholesterol levels, keep insulin levels low and are really high in fiber. Thanks to its complex carbohydrates, oats are slowly releasing energy throughout the day and keeping you fuller and satisfied during the day.
Eggs
Eggs are full of protein that helps you to feel fuller longer and may prevent food cravings coming from spikes in blood sugar.
Normally only egg whites are recommended for people on a diet, but actually, egg yolks have more protein than whites and also contain hormones that help to fight off belly fat.
Chia seeds
Chia seeds contain a lot of minerals and vitamins our body needs. They are really high in iron, calcium, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids and prevent absorption of fat. Chia seeds act like a sponge, they expand in the stomach, make you feel full and avoid snacking.
Chili peppers
Chilies contain an ingredient called capsaicin that helps to suppress appetite, raises your body temperature and boosts your body’s ability to burn fat. So after eating, instead of storing the calories our body starts to burning them.
Do you have any tips for achieving a beautiful body for beach season?

Chia Seeds, Eggs and Oats – those are my faves, haha!
I regularly eat oats, eggs and chia seeds…but I should add some celery in there. It’s not my fave 🙁
My number one tip has always been- everything in moderation. It gets pretty bland eating fruits, veggies, and simple carbs all the time, so it’s important for people to treat themselves every once in a while.
Sadly too many people think it is as simple as eating a certain food that will make you lose weight. That is incorrect. There are many reasons people are overweight. The focus should be on being healthy, not having a “beautiful” body. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and girls wanting to look anorexic because that’s what the media presents as beautiful is just sad.
I totally need to get
Wow! I kinda expected to have it be a list of quick fix solutions! This I can do!
This morning I made a low carb pancake breakfast for myself. Eggs, Cream Cheese and Truvia. They were amazing! I love eggs any way!

I have been hearing a TON about chia seeds lately. Up until a few months ago, I had never heard of them, and now they are everywhere. Definitely a popular new healthy ingredient, and I’ve been really wanting to try them in morning smoothies. A lot of people have been using them in green smoothies.
Never heard of Chia seed but do eat a lot of eggs fro breakfast.
I have been wanting to try chia seeds. I think I am going to try it in oatmeal or pudding first.

I love all the foods in that list. I was just discussing with my husband tonight that for two days I skipped my normal meals and just indulged – I gained 4 pounds. I do not mind but was shocked that it was that quick. Tomorrow is back to normal and I eat oats, eggs, celery and chai seeds every single day. I thought it was all the running I did that make me stay small, lol.
These are all so good. Nice to see they help with weight loss. Way better than pills (Kim)
Mm, I love chili peppers. What a nice bonus that they are beneficial to weight loss too.
