Most of the time we eat at home and deciding what to prepare for each meal is always a challenging task for me. 80% of the time we try to stay away from processed foods and eat healthily instead. We do get pizza delivery, Chinese takeout, or an occasional Mcdonald’s meal once in a while, maybe 2-3 times a month.
So as you can imagine, we prepare most of our food ourselves and while we love cooking, meal planning is not our forte. We have tried meal planning several times – it works for a week or two and then we are back to asking “What will we eat today?”. It’s really stressful!
Well, I’m giving it a try again! I thought that maybe if I add our meal plans to the blog, it might help us to be more consistent and keep us on track!

Mmmm! Those Garlic Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes sound sooooo good. Sounds like you are going to be eating really well this week.
I’m trying to get better at meal planning. You’ve got some delicious sounding meals planned out for the week. I need to try the Skinny Orange Chicken. Yum!
I really need to get on meal planning. Thanks for all of the ideas.
Meal planning is the way to go. We are also trying to eat less processed foods. I’ve been sick in the hospital due to an allergic reaction so I’ve gotten off track, but you’ve inspired me. The Italian Paleo Chicken Fingers and roasted vegetables sound amazing!
I have been meal planning for 34 years. Saves time and money. As kids got older I had them help with the meal planning and shopping and eventually fixing the meal.
My husband and I are big fans of meal prepping on Sundays! Our main dish is to grill chicken, then sort out our lunches and dinners with sides of veggies and rice.
I tried to meal plan, but then I find I’m never in the mood for what I planned. I do try to at least have some idea of what we’re going to eat though!
I love the Saturday suggestion. Anything that says “bacon” immediately catches my attention. Thanks for the links to the recipes. I’m saving each and every one of them.
I’ve recently gotten into meal planning and I absolutely love it. I love how it takes the stress out of cooking/preparing dinner each night.
Can I come over and have dinner with you? haha I used to plan our meals, and I got out of the habit. I really need ot get back at it!
Meal planning is something I used to do when my kids were younger. It is indeed easier and you can even prepare the meals ahead of time. Lately I have been trying to eat less processed food to see if it helps with my fibromyalgia. What we put into our bodies can make a huge difference in how we feel for sure. Thanks for sharing your delicious meal plan.
Your choices sounds delicious! I don’t really do meal planning. I used to, they were a lot of help especially in shopping 🙂
Both of my children are picky eaters. I mean very picky. What one child likes the other one does not. I do not meal plan. I wish I could and that is one of my New Years Resolution to change.
I love seeing other people’s ideas for meals. It’s easy for us to get caught in the same meals over and over again. It’s like our creative button has gotten broken lol
Yes I definitely meal plan. It makes it so much easier and I love knowing each morning what I need to prepare for later on that day.
These recipes look delicious! Thank you for sharing them. I am definitely trying the Italian Paleo chicken fingers for super bowl sunday!
This post is perfect for those planning to eat more healthy foods. Nice to start the year with this kind of planning. Thanks for sharing this idea.
I’d love to try your recipe. It looks so sweet and delicious. I can’t wait to try it!
