This week’s organic fruit and veggie box included some super delicious local strawberries and bananas (platano Canario) too, so I decided to treat myself to a super delicious Strawberry Banana Chocolate Croissant Recipe for breakfast.

It’s easy to make and this croissant recipe is perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast, for a brunch, or as a super special breakfast in bed. I made it with bananas, strawberries, and chocolate, but you can customize it with your favorite fruit and berries. I want to try the banana, raspberry, and chocolate combination next.

Strawberry Banana Chocolate Croissant Recipe

Strawberry Banana Chocolate Croissant

A strawberry banana chocolate croissant is a mouth-watering pastry filled with a decadent combination of sliced strawberries, bananas, and rich chocolate. The croissant is flaky and buttery, and the filling is sweet and creamy, creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures. This delightful treat is perfect for a morning breakfast, an afternoon snack, or a dessert after a meal.

  • Croissants (plain or sugar covered)
  • Strawberries
  • Bananas
  • Chocolate (chocolate chips, or chocolate spread)

There are different ways to put together this croissant recipe. The first method is by far my favorite, especially if you use sugar-covered croissants. The sugar caramelizes and the mix of fruit, berries, chocolate, and caramel is super delicious!

Method one:

  1. Slice the croissant in half horizontally.
  2. Place the croissant slices in a skillet cut side down and heat them on low for a couple of minutes
  3. Flip the slices when hot.
  4. Chop the chocolate into smaller chunks if needed.
  5. Place a layer of chocolate, chocolate chips, or chocolate spread on one half of the croissant.
  6. Add a layer of bananas and strawberries.
  7. Add a layer of chocolate, chocolate chips, or chocolate spread.
  8. Cover the filling with the other half of the croissant.
  9. Heat on low until the chocolate is melted.

Method two:

  1. Melt the chocolate
  2. Slice the croissant in half horizontally.
  3. Cover the bottom half of the croissant with melted chocolate.
  4. Add a layer of bananas and strawberries.
  5. Add a melted chocolate layer.
  6. Cover the filling with the other half of the croissant.

Method three:

  1. Slice the croissant in half horizontally.
  2. Chop the chocolate into smaller chunks if needed.
  3. Place a layer of chocolate, chocolate chips, or chocolate spread on one half of the croissant.
  4. Add a layer of bananas and strawberries.
  5. Add a layer of chocolate, chocolate chips, or chocolate spread.
  6. Cover the filling with the other half of the croissant.
  7. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes.
