This week’s organic fruit and veggie box included some super delicious local strawberries and bananas (platano Canario) too, so I decided to treat myself to a super delicious Strawberry Banana Chocolate Croissant Recipe for breakfast.
It’s easy to make and this croissant recipe is perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast, for a brunch, or as a super special breakfast in bed. I made it with bananas, strawberries, and chocolate, but you can customize it with your favorite fruit and berries. I want to try the banana, raspberry, and chocolate combination next.
Strawberry Banana Chocolate Croissant
A strawberry banana chocolate croissant is a mouth-watering pastry filled with a decadent combination of sliced strawberries, bananas, and rich chocolate. The croissant is flaky and buttery, and the filling is sweet and creamy, creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures. This delightful treat is perfect for a morning breakfast, an afternoon snack, or a dessert after a meal.
- Croissants (plain or sugar covered)
- Strawberries
- Bananas
- Chocolate (chocolate chips, or chocolate spread)
There are different ways to put together this croissant recipe. The first method is by far my favorite, especially if you use sugar-covered croissants. The sugar caramelizes and the mix of fruit, berries, chocolate, and caramel is super delicious!
Method one:
- Slice the croissant in half horizontally.
- Place the croissant slices in a skillet cut side down and heat them on low for a couple of minutes
- Flip the slices when hot.
- Chop the chocolate into smaller chunks if needed.
- Place a layer of chocolate, chocolate chips, or chocolate spread on one half of the croissant.
- Add a layer of bananas and strawberries.
- Add a layer of chocolate, chocolate chips, or chocolate spread.
- Cover the filling with the other half of the croissant.
- Heat on low until the chocolate is melted.
Method two:
- Melt the chocolate
- Slice the croissant in half horizontally.
- Cover the bottom half of the croissant with melted chocolate.
- Add a layer of bananas and strawberries.
- Add a melted chocolate layer.
- Cover the filling with the other half of the croissant.
Method three:
- Slice the croissant in half horizontally.
- Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes.
Man oh man does that ever looks delicious. I’ve never thought to do something like this with croissants. I can’t wait to fix this recipe for the grand kids.

My favorite breakfast treat is chocolate banana pancakes. I add a little cinnamon and vanilla to the batter and it gives it the perfect flavor to complement the sweetness of the banana and chocolate.
