I received the ennoLogic eT650D Infrared Thermometer from Cascadia Innovations to facilitate my review. All opinions, however, are 100% my own!
Sometimes I really struggle with finding an interesting yet practical gift for my husband. He has everything and adding a new gadget for his collection is really difficult. When Cascadia Innovations offered their ennoLogic eT650D Infrared Thermometer for a review, I was sure my husband would find a great use for it in his computer “experiments”.
The eT650D is a dual laser infrared temperature gun for non-contact surface temperature measurements. The box contains the thermometer gun, information sheet with instructions, 9V battery, and soft storage case. The product also comes with a ten-year warranty and 100% satisfaction guarantee.
It’s really easy to use! Just point, pull the trigger and read the temperature just less than a second. eT650D counts with a backlight to make the information reading easier when using the tool in low light surroundings.
The dual laser pointer helps target the testing area precisely and thanks to the possibility to change the emissivity, it lets you set correct emissivity depending on the material to obtain a more accurate temperature reading.
Remember that this thermometer gives you the temperature of the surfaces not the inside temperature of the object you are measuring.

We had a lot of fun trying out the laser thermometer. My husband was anxious to try it out on his computer and see if the computer’s cooling system is working well. He compared the temperatures that his computer’s system gave him with the eT650D results and they were accurate.
We also tried to take the temperature of the oven. I set it to 175°C, but the thermometer gave different results from the oven’s own thermometer. That may explain why some of my dishes have overcooked or burned even if I though I was baking them at the right temperature.
And also used it in our fridge.

Wow, that’s fascinating! I’d be curious to see if my oven actually works at the temperature it’s set for!
What a great gadget! We do need one around here. didn’t know it existed! yes I live under a rock…
My boys would have a lot of fun using that. They are all into weather and everyday try to guess the temperature and conditions.
This is good to have! I have a similar one that comes in pretty handy
This seems like a neat tool. I don’t really know anybody that could use it though.
This is so cool! I need to get one of those for me and also one for my dad.
Sounds like a great gift. My husband could use it when grilling.
Seems like a cool gift, but I don’t think I’d personally have any use for it!
This would be a great gift for the custodian at my job. He has a lot of problems maintaining a steady temperature in the building.
We live in a really old house and tend to have some cold in coming in but never know from where exactly. This thermometer would work to pinpoint the source of the cold air.
Whoa now this is so cool and so much convenient too!
Wow that’s pretty high tech and likely has some potential fun uses.
